Designing for Fast, Clean, and Detailed Award Travel Search
At Seats.aero, I’m leading the redesign of the platform to honor what power users love—density, speed, and detail—while making the experience more intuitive for travelers who are new to award search. My work focuses on preserving the depth that prosumers rely on without sacrificing clarity, navigation, or approachability.
By refining the interface, restructuring information, and streamlining key workflows, I’m helping evolve Seats.aero into a product that feels instantly usable while still deeply powerful. This redesign supports our broader goals of increasing conversion, reducing churn, and creating clear on-ramps for users at every experience level.
Balancing Pro-Level Depth With Accessible, Modern UX
My approach centers on crafting a dual-path experience: one that keeps the platform’s signature richness for advanced users while offering guided pathways and clearer mental models for newcomers. Through design audits, targeted research, and close collaboration with the team, I’ve been shaping an experience that scales gracefully from casual explorers to seasoned award hackers. As we roll this work out, it’s driving improvements across engagement, retention, and paid conversion—proving that you don’t need to simplify to grow, just design with intention for every type of traveler.
